This Yue opera adapts Cao Xueqin’s masterpiece. Orphaned Lin Daiyu arrives at the wealthy Jia household, forms a deep bond with her cousin Jia Baoyu, and is trapped by family rules and arranged marriage. The opera follows youth, love, and the decline of a great house.
